Download this file and extract its contents in the ' DRAGON QUEST XI\Game\Binaries\Win64' folder, where ' DRAGON QUEST XI.exe' is. To disable this, delete all 'preset = Cutscenes' lines in 'd3dx.ini'.
Automatic low convergence for cutscenes, although it isn't too reliable. Screen space reflections, with hotkeys to optionally disable them or make them not blend old frames. There's a hotkey to toggle most of this off (including parallax occlusion mapping), if you want to check how they look at surface depth.
